William Crawford Intermediate School

William Crawford Intermediate is a student-centered school committed to excellence.  It is expected that each student is preparing to be successful in school and to productive members of society.  We believe that all of our approximately 240 students are important and that all students can make improvement and learn.  Opportunities are given for your students to learn.  A very dedicated staff  works hard at providing those opportunities for students and works hard at making certain students have the skills necessary to make the most of any given situation.

We are very proud of our EXCELLENT  rating given William Crawford and Colonel Crawford School District for the 2007-2008 school year and for the Colonel Crawford District for the second year in a row for 2008-2009.   At William Crawford, our attendance rate is 95.8%.  Our Performance Index Score is 94.4 and William Crawford has an EFFECTIVE rating again for the 2009-2010 school year.  We passed 7 out of 8 state indicators.  However, we did not meet AYP because our special education population did not make the necessary gains in math.  While we are proud of the accomplishments of these students and this staff we realize we have room for improvement and will not be satisfied until all students have met the goals.  We strive to improve and look for ways to do that on a daily basis.  Feel free to examine our grade by grade results in the school report card link.

We are now in our fifth year in our new building and we work hard to make certain that when the parents and community enter our wing they see a well-maintained, clean and attractive environment conducive to learning.  We want to keep our tradition alive.
