HIGH SCHOOL ADDITION UPDATES:  (article updated on 6/26/14)

The OFCC, Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, has agreed to push forward with the (co-funded) high school addition.  Along with the addition of the high school wing, the project will also include the demolition of the following buildings; Sulphur Springs, Whetstone, old middle school building, and half of the current high school building.  The cost of the project is $6,480,294.  Our share of the project is $31,014.  Due to the failed half mill levy, the district has decided to make a few cuts and proceed with the co-funded project.

Here are a few of the timelines:

July, 2014 - Bid advertisement for Demolition of Sulphur Springs, Whetstone, and old Middle School.

August, 2014 - Bid Phase for Demolition - The following were awarded for Abatement on Aug. 18, 2014.  Cardinal Environment Services will handle abatement of Sulphur Springs and Whetstone.  Environmental Demolition Group will complete abatement of North Robinson Intermediate.  The low bid for the demolition piece was submitted by Russ James Contracting, Inc.  Demolition will begin upon completion of abatement. 

September 3, 2014 - December 14, 2014 - Abatement begins with demolition to follow. 

November, 2014 - Bid advertisement for high school addition.

December, 2014 - Bid and award recommendation for high school addition.

Early August, 2015 - Move into new high school wing.

June, 2015 - Begin partial demolition of existing high school.

Hazing and Bullying Policy: (JFCF)

Bullying, harassment, and intimidation is an intentional written, verbal or physical act that a student has exhibited toward another particular student more than once. The intentional act also includes violence within a dating relationship. The behavior causes both mental and physical harm to the other student and is sufficiently severe, persistent or pervasive that it creates an intimidating, threatening or abusive educational environment for the other student. This behavior is prohibited on school property, on a school bus or at a school-sponsored activity. Students found responsible for harassment, intimidation or bullying by an electronic act may be suspended.

Aug. 21, 2013 - May 30, 2014 K-12 Bullying / Harassment Report - 26 total reported incidents of Bullying / Harassment resulting in 10 Out-of-school Suspensions, 2 In-school Suspensions, 5 Detentions / loss of privileges.
