School Counseling Services

William Crawford Intermediate School’s comprehensive School Counseling Program integrates academic, career, personal and social development. The curriculum meets the standards of the American School Counselor Association. The W.C.I.S. School Counseling Program provides consultation, collaboration, coordination, case management, and classroom activities. The purpose of a School Counseling Program is to promote and enhance the learning process and to prepare students for their future.

The School Counselor is here to help with a wide range of needs, including the following:

  • Individual Student Counseling - personal, social, academic or family issues

  • Group Counseling - children of divorce, grief counseling, new student support groups, social skills, anger management

  • Student Mediation

  • Crisis Intervention

  • Teacher Referral Intervention

  • Collaborate with outside agencies such as Community Counseling and Physicians

  • Individual Conferences with Parents

  • Classroom Guidance Programs

  • Grade Level Career Guidance

  • Grade Level Testing Coordination both Career and Ohio Achievement Testing

  • Bringing Up Grades "B.U.G." Program
