Kindergarten and 1st grade students presented their spring programs this week at Hannah Crawford. Under the direction of Mrs. Wise, programs, were colorful, entertaining, funny and just plain awesome! Kindergarten delighted a packed house with their favorite songs and dance! The 1st graders presented "Cookies"; a delightful story reminding us it is better to make lots of friend than to always stay with your own "batch". Watch out for those puppies though! Thank you, Mrs. Wise for helping our students create more great memories! Thank you also to the 1st grade and kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Price for sound and lights, Mr. Bell and Mrs. Parsons for taking care of clean up, and so many more. It was a great night!💛🦅🖤

The 3rd quarter Accelerated Reader 📚incentive made a real splash!💦 Mrs. Perkins' class did not need "pushed" to enjoy some extra time in the water. Instead, they "dove" right in to celebrate their love of reading! Congratulations students! 💛🦅🖤

Hard work pays off. Posted behind the WCIS staff is the second consecutive 5-star building award from the Department of Education and Workforce. These educators work hard to make sure they are preparing students for success in the classroom and beyond. They challenge themselves and are constantly evaluating what they do and why, finding ways to improve. Pair that with a district of great kids and families and success is possible. We are so proud of the great staff we have at CC. While students may grumble and complain at times, at the end of the day they have good people here who truly care about them. Congratulations, WCIS staff and students, on your achievement.
